Imaginarium to be Torn Down

The Bluedorn Science Imaginarium in Waterloo’s Grout Museum District will be torn down despite an offer to buy the building, according to KWWL. It was announced in October that the Imaginarium would close with hands-on science experiences moving into the Grout Museum instead. An offer came in to save the building but the leadership group of the Grout Museum District determined the potential buyer was not the best fit for the Grout and the local community. The identity of the potential buyer has not been revealed, nor why they do not fit. The demolition is expected to cost around $100,000.
