Waterloo Police responded to and made arrests at four different fights in downtown Waterloo Saturday night into Sunday morning, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. First, a fight broke out at the entrance to My Waterloo Days at East Fourth and Mulberry Streets just after 11pm as people were leaving the event. 20 year old Maceo Hicks II of Cedar Falls and 23 year old Tyvon Gully and 20 year old Camelo Quinn both of Waterloo were all charged with Disorderly Conduct. Police arrested 18 year old Markiyonno Winston of Waterloo after a fight in the area of East Fourth and Lafayette Streets at around 11:33. Winston was charged with Disorderly Conduct. 19 year old Tajian Taylor of Waterloo was charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury for allegedly punching a man in the face outside XO Liquor at around 11:40. Finally, at around 1:00 a.m., officers dispersed a crowd that had gathered atop the parking ramp on East Fourth Street. They stopped one vehicle and found a pistol and a bag of marijuana on a passenger that tried to flee. 18 year old Elijah Koch of Cedar Rapids was arrested and charged with Interference With a Firearm, Carrying Weapons, and Possession of Marijuana.
