In an update to a story we told you about earlier this week, the driver of a car that crashed around midnight Monday night into Tuesday morning in Waterloo has been arrested, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 27 year old Myles Anderson was driving his Ford Fusion down the 600 block of Campbell Avenue when he left the roadway and struck a “no parking” sign and a tree before the car rolled and came to rest on its roof. The engine compartment then caught on fire. Anderson was able escape relatively unharmed. He was found sitting on a nearby porch with an open Cutwater canned cocktail. Another Cutwater can and a Twisted Tea container were found near the vehicle. Anderson has been charged with first offense OWI, Driving While Suspended, and Public Intoxication.
