A nine year old girl from Waterloo died in a UTV crash near Pierre, South Dakota on Saturday, according to KWWL. Madie Berger was riding in the UTV with a 16 year old boy from Des Moines and a 37 year old man from Indianola, who was at the wheel. The man attempted to turn around but the UTV rolled, killing Berger. The boy suffered minor injuries and the man was uninjured. Berger would have been a fourth grader in the Waterloo Schools in the Fall. It is unclear how those involved are related, if at all. A GoFundMe set up to help cover funeral and memorial costs has raised nearly $8,000 of a $9,000 goal.
