A 19 year-old Waverly man has been hospitalized following an e-bike crash on Sunday. The family of Apollo Wild shared on Facebook that he was involved in the crash around 8:00 Sunday evening. They state that Wild was taken to the Waverly Health Center and then transferred to MercyOne in Mason City around 2:30 a.m. so a neurologist could monitor him closely. His injuries include a small left-side skull fracture, minor bleeding on both sides of the brain, a broken scapula and a fractured rib.
The Waverly Police Department confirmed that the e-bike was the only vehicle involved in the crash.
