Two people were injured in a shooting outside an apartment building in Waterloo Thursday, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. First, a 16 year old boy was dropped off by private vehicle at Allen Hospital at around 2:40 a.m. with gunshot wounds to his legs. Then, at around 12:30 p.m., a 23 year old woman arrived by private vehicle at Allen with a gunshot wound. Both injuries are thought to be non-life-threatening. The shooting itself was reported at 135 Mission Circle just prior to the boy showing up at Allen. Police say they recovered numerous spent rifle caliber shell casings at the scene. No arrests have been made and no other details have been released at this time.
