Gun Theft Sentencing

The second sentence for the theft of several guns from a home in January has been handed down, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Authorities say 15 long guns were taken from a home in the 900 block of Fletcher Avenue on January 7th. 54 year old Christopher Tobar has now been sentenced to up to 25 years in prison on charges of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Trafficking Stolen Weapons, and third degree Burglary. Police say they found one of the stolen guns in Tobar’s bedroom during the investigation. 39 year old Amanda Frisbey has also been sentenced in the case. She pleaded guilty to Burglary, Trafficking Stolen Weapons, and meth charges and was sentenced to 10 years in prison, however that was suspended to three years of probation with up to one year at a residential facility. 36 year old Elvis Puric and 62 year old Daniel McNelly were also arrested in the case.
