Pastor Accused of Extreme Threats Against His Wife

The pastor of Oelwein Christian Church who is also a Hazleton City Council member has been arrested for, among other things, threatening to crucify his wife, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 34 year old Hayden Robinson has been charged with second degree Arson, Child Endangerment, and Domestic Assault in Buchanan County. He has also been charged with first degree Harassment in Polk County. Robinson allegedly bit his wife on the forearm during an argument on August 22nd. The next day he allegedly became upset and poured an energy drink on her at their home. On August 24th he allegedly lit her clothes on fire in the driveway of the home. When she attempted to walk away he allegedly chambered a round into a pistol and told her to come back. On August 26th Robinson was in Des Moines, where he used to live, and allegedly left multiple voicemails for his wife. In those messages he allegedly threatened to crucify her, slit her throat, and cut her into pieces before saying they will have to make a Netflix documentary about it. When authorities arrested Robinson, he was in possession of an empty holster, ammunition and handcuffs. The key to the handcuffs was found hidden in Robinson’s mouth. He is being held in the Buchanan County Jail.
