A 17 year old boy was found dead in a bushy area in Waterloo on Saturday morning, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Police were called to the 1000 block of West Third Street at around 10:15 Saturday morning on a report of a dead body. They discovered the boy had been shot. They had responded to reports of shots fired in the area at around 7:20p m. .Friday but found no damage, injuries or other evidence at the time. Later Saturday a search warrant was executed at an apartment at 314 Randolph Street, about a third of a mile from where the boy was found. The boys name has not been released, pending the notification of family. No arrests have been made public to this point. Anyone with information is asked to contact Waterloo Police.
