Police Need Help in Murder Cases

Waterloo Police are asking those that live in the area where two teenagers were recently murdered in separate events to check their security cameras for suspicious activity, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Police are specifically interested in activity in the area of West Fourth, Vermont Street, Sullivan Avenue, Elmwood Street, and Locust Street between 3pm and 8:30pm on October 8th. That is the day 16 year old Lamontrece Jordan was shot and killed at the intersection of Baltimore and West Third Streets. Police say they are interested in activities like fights, people running through yards and anyone hiding. Anyone that finds something in their footage is asked to contact police. 16 year old Jose Martinez has been charged as an adult with Intimidation With a Weapon and Interference While Armed in Jordan’s death. 17 year old Owen Cannon was also found dead in the 1000 block of West Third Street. No arrests have been made in his death.
