Janesville Mourns Local Leader

The City of Janesville has announced that they will fly municipal flags at half-staff in honor and remembrance of Jeff Conover. Conover was a firefighter for 22 years and City Council member who passed away recently after a battle with cancer at the age of 64. The City says that lowering the flags is a small but meaningful gesture of respect for a man who gave so much of himself in service of others. Conover’s funeral will be held on Friday at 10:30 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Waverly. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-7 at Kaiser Corson Funeral Home in Waverly and one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be directed to the family.
