Cedar Falls Fire Rescue responded to two separate residential fires on Sunday.
The first happened around 6am at 3614 Beaver Ridge Circle. Owner Chris Harshbarger and family had escaped safely and were waiting outside as firefighters arrived. The home sustained significant damage.
The second fire occurred around 9am in the 700 block of West Ridgeway Avenue Lot 742. Sada Howard and family were able to escape that fire. That residence also sustained significant damage.
The cause of both fires remain under investigation.
