For those of you who are still wondering what exactly the function of a rubber duckie is, it’s to be adopted for the 26th annual Floyd County Rubber Duck Race by the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Iowa this Friday. Roughly 3,000 rubber ducks will be sent down the Cedar River in Charles City to compete for top prizes.

Adoption is $5 per duck with all proceeds going to the organization.
