The Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office released a statement Friday afternoon that three women say they were assaulted while driving on sparsely populated roads in Black Hawk, Linn, and Tama Counties. Deputies say the general locations were near Dunkerton and Cedar Falls in Black Hawk County, and near Cedar Rapids in Linn County. They say another woman reported to Tama County authorities that she was approached by a man south of Black Hawk County. Deputies urge everyone to use caution while driving. If you see someone suspicious sitting along a highway, you are asked to report that to authorities immediately. If your vehicle breaks down and you feel uncomfortable, stay in your vehicle, lock all the doors and call law enforcement immediately.
