Bremer County Auditor Shelley Wolf has released the unofficial current status of the Waverly Mayoral race. 1,015 votes are needed by a candidate in order for the race to avoid going to runoff. Incumbent Mayor Chuck Infelt received 1,010 votes and write-in candidate Dean Soash received 994 votes, prompting a runoff election on December 5.
