The FCC has voted to end Obama-era legislature on Internet services that would give Internet service providers more control on how they do business. While this move will mostly benefit large ISP’s like Mediacom and Verizon, there is also the question of how it will affect municipal Internet providers like Waverly Utilities and Cedar Falls Utilities.

According to a poll by the University of Maryland Program for Public Consultation and Voice of the People, a non-partisan group, 83% of Americans did not approve of removing net neutrality. Congress can still step in to undo the decision.
