The City of Waverly has released a revised version of the city’s flood zones that greatly reduces the number of houses that have to worry about annual flooding. City Engineer Mike Cherry estimates that as many as 200 houses have been permanently removed from flooding areas.
Mike Cherry also encourages anyone living on the old flood plain to do the following:
