Improving Water Quality

One of the biggest issues Iowa faces coming into the new year is how we will work to improve our water quality. And just one aspect of that is lowering the state’s nitrate levels that run off into lakes and rivers and becomes harmful to our wildlife.

Ron Lenth from the Iowa State Bremer County Extension shares one way we can tackle the dilemma:

While this is one way to mitigate the problem, Lenth stresses that there’s no one magic fix, and it will take time and patience to fully address the issue.
