The Waverly Palace Theatre announced overnight Sunday on their Facebook page that it has closed permanently, citing cash flow difficulties due to low volumes of patrons. At this time it is unknown about the future of the building. It was also stated that the theatre cannot honor outstanding passes, such as Groupon, because “the theater is broke and there are no more plans to be open under this structure of operation.” At this time, there is no plan for the building and ownership is open for discussion about the future of the downtown building and business.
