Waterloo Police have made an arrest in a stabbing case. 34 year old Joshua Maricle was taken into custody Wednesday morning, shortly after 11. He attempted to run from police but was quickly captured. Police say Maricle is responsible for stabbing a man in the chest in the early morning hours of Sunday. He has been charged with willful injury, causing serious injury. The 26 year old victim was taken to a nearby hospital. Its unclear what the motive behind the stabbing was. Maricle is being held in the Black Hawk County Jail on a $20,000 bond.
