Waterloo Schools Back After Scare

Waterloo West, East and Expo will all be back in session Thursday after being closed due to a social media threat on Tuesday. According to Waterloo Police Spokesman Joe Leibold, a 15 year old male was taken into custody and charged with threats of terrorism. The boy allegedly posted on Snapchat that he was going to “do” Expo while his friend was going to “do” West. East was also closed out of an abundance of caution on Wednesday. The teen is being held in the Black Hawk County Juvenile Detention Center.
