The former coach of an AAU boys basketball program that has included players from Waverly Shell Rock is set to plead guilty in his case involving child pornography. Greg Stephen is the co-founder of the Iowa Barnstormers, a team that often features the best high school basketball talent in the state. He was accused of recording players as they undressed while on trips to tournaments out of the state. He was charged with child pornography and sexual exploitation. Stephen tried to have evidence from a flash drive taken from his home suppressed last week but a judge denied that request. So far, no date has been scheduled for Stephen’s plea hearing. He was scheduled to go to trial later this month.
