A Raymond man has died from an accidental, self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. The Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office along with other emergency crews were called to a home on Hillcrest Street shortly before 9 Saturday night. When they arrived they found 36 year old Brent Schaefer suffering with the gunshot wound. He was taken to Allen Hospital before being transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Schaefer died of his injuries in the early morning hours of Sunday. It is unclear how he accidentally shot himself.
