Active Shooter Response Training

The Waverly Police Department, in cooperation with the Governor’s School Safety Bureau will be hosting an ALERRT Level 1 Active Shooter Response course Monday and Tuesday in the middle school. The course is designed to prepare first responders on how to react to active shooter events. At the completion of the training, the entire Waverly force will be ALERRT 1 certified. The public is asked to stay away from the school during this time. Band students are asked to use the north side door entrance to the fine arts wing to get to their lessons.
