A Waterloo woman has been arrested for allegedly stealing the credit cards of an elderly man whose house she was hired to clean, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 60 year old Roseann Perleberg was arrested on March 10th and charged with two counts each of Credit Card Fraud and second degree Theft Against an Older Individual. The punishment for both of those charges could be upgraded due statues recently passed to intensify the penalty for crimes against victims who are 60 and older. Perleberg allegedly took the cards as she cleaned the man’s home. She then allegedly put over $3,200 on one card and over $1,500 on another on groceries, gas, and a George Foreman Grill. Surveillance video showed Perleberg making the purchases.
