Anheuser-Busch Cuts Ties with King

The Carson King saga took an unexpected turn Tuesday night. King, who helped organize a national effort to raise millions for the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital, has lost the support of one of the major corporate sponsors in the cause. Anheuser-Busch had vowed to match contributions made to King’s Venmo account after the now famous sign mentioning Busch Light became big news. Busch also made some cans with King’s face on it. Now, after the Des Moines Register unearthed a couple of racial tweets from when King was 16, the partnership between King and Busch is over. Anheuser-Busch is cutting all ties with King but will still honor it’s matching donation pledge.
