Animal Abuse in Nashua

A domestic disturbance call in Nashua led to the discovery of animal abuse. While on location police were informed that the homeowners dog had gone missing and may be stored in the basement freezer. A search of the home did indeed find the body of a deceased dog in the freezer. It also found a small amount of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, various items used in manufacturing meth, several bottles of prescription medications, and various poisons in the home. A child was also found in the home who told investigators that one of the home’s occupants, Anthony Hoffman, had poisoned the dog and threatened to poison the child’s milk. Another dog was also located inside a kennel along with what police believe was rat poison. Three people were charged in the case. 34 year old Jennifer Hoffman is charged with child endangerment, 44 year old Anthony Hoffman and 30 year Christopher Dann have also been charged with child endangerment, animal abuse, and drug related charges.
