A woman has been arrested for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend in Waterloo in July, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 31 year old Japreia Jones is accused of stabbing Joseph Joyce Jr. during an argument at the couple’s apartment on July 23rd. Joyce suffered multiple stab wounds including two to the back that penetrated a lung. During the scuffle, Joyce allegedly tried to disarm Jones and Jones received a minor stab wound to her chest. Jones was charged with Willful Injury Causing Serious Injury and Domestic Assault With a Weapon. At the time of the stabbing Jones was on probation for an August 2022 incident in which she and two others stole more than $14,000 worth of perfume from an Ulta Beauty in Ames. She was sent to prison for violating probation, accounting for why she was not arrested in relation to the July incident until now.
