Waterloo Police have made an arrest after a shooting in Waterloo late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, according to KWWL. Police were called to the 500 block of Broadway Street just prior to midnight on a report of shots fired. When they arrived on scene they found a male victim who had been shot in the arm and abdomen. A vehicle was seen leaving the area at a high rate of speed. Police were able to locate the vehicle and take 21 year old Deamonte Buchanan into custody. Buchanan has been charged with Willful Injury Causing Serious Injury, Going Armed With Intent, Intimidation With a Weapon, and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
