Arrest Made in Connection to a Murder

An arrest has been made in connection to the murder in Waterloo on Friday morning, but it is not the killer, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 31 year old Jessie Harmon III was taken into custody yesterday and charged with Intimidation with a Weapon and Prohibited Person in Possession of a Firearm. Investigators seized a .45 caliber handgun that was allegedly in Harmon’s possession. They believe that is the same type of gun used in the shooting. In fact, police say they believe Harmon was shooting but he has not been charged with killing 21 year old Nyavais Johnson. Johnson was shot in the stomach outside his Boston Street home at around 11 Friday morning. He was taken to Allen Hospital but died there. Anyone with information on the shooting is still asked to contact Waterloo Police.
