Police in Waterloo are investigating a bank robbery that took place Thursday afternoon. The Great Western Bank on University Avenue was the target shortly after noon. Police say a man went into the bank and told employees he had a weapon and demanded they give him money. The weapon was never shown while the suspect was in the bank. He wore a dark hooded sweatshirt and covered his face. The suspect was able to get away with an undisclosed amount of cash. The location was closed after the incident. The investigation into the robbery is still ongoing.
