A longtime teacher at Waverly Shell Rock High School has passed away. Darren Uhlenhopp was a social studies teacher who had been battling cancer for the past year. He had been on medical leave since last Spring while he received treatment. Uhlenhopp had been at WSR for nearly 30 years. Additional counselors will be available Monday for students and staff. Ongoing support will also be available throughout the week as needed.
