A hit and run near Jesup on Sunday sent one man to the hospital, according to KWWL. 22 year old Sam Strayer, a UNI student from Hudson, was riding his bike along Osage Road around 7:00 p.m. when he was struck from behind. The vehicle that struck him left the scene without offering any assistance. Strayer was rushed to the hospital with what were described as non life threatening injuries. The suspects vehicle has not yet been positively identified but it may have been a UTV or ATV of some sort, possibly black and maroon in color. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office or the Jesup Police.
