Two upcoming road construction projects will lead to detours on Black Hawk County rural roads.
The county Engineer’s Office is expecting to close a one-mile stretch of Cedar-Wapsi Road on Monday so two culverts can be replaced between U.S. Highway 63 and Burton Avenue north of Waterloo.
Traffic will be detoured onto Dunkerton and Wagner roads.
The project, expected to last between four and six weeks, is being done in preparation for a planned 2019 project to resurface Cedar-Wapsi between U.S. Highways 63 and 218.
