The Waverly Shell Rock Community School Board has voted unanimously to not sell one of the elementary buildings to a group hoping to start a Christian school. Inspired Life released a statement expressing their disappointment with the decision despite them allegedly making the highest financial offer on either of the available properties. They say their research demonstrates considerable demand for what they call Waverly Christian School and that they will continue their pursuit of serving students and families by expanding educational opportunities in Waverly and across the State of Iowa.
