A 10 year old boy was hit by an SUV while riding his bike in Dunkerton yesterday, according to KWWL. The Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene along East Dunkerton Street shortly after 10:30 Tuesday morning. Their investigation determined the boy was trying to cross the road when he turned in front of a Toyota Highlander. The boy was taken to Allen Hospital for treatment of injuries not thought to be life threatening. Neither the name of the boy nor the driver of the Highlander have been released to this point.
