Bremer Ave Construction Changes

Work is being completed on the area west of the railroad tracks on West Bremer Avenue.  West Bremer Avenue will be open in that area by Friday, July 20th.

Then, work shifts to the area between 7th Street and 11th Street, the last section on the west side.  The decision has been made to completely close Bremer Avenue/Hwy 3 for this stage starting on July 23rd.  Complete closure will reduce the amount of time it will take to finish this section.  It will also allow use of 12th Street, 7th Street and 6th Street for cross traffic that would have been limited by lane separators.

Bremer /Hwy 3 will close just west of 7th Street.  The 7th Street intersection will remain open to go north and south.   At the other end, the street will close just west of 11th Street.  The 12th Street intersection will remain open to traffic to and from West Bremer.

Businesses on the south side can be accessed from 2nd Avenue SW and 8th, 9th and 10th streets.  Businesses on the north side can be accessed from 1st Avenue NW and 10th Street NW.

The Dirty Dog, Joe’s KnightHawk & Carwash and the Larrabee Center will be accessed from 10th Street and the alley as shown on the attached map.  11th Street NW north of the alley will remain a one-way, but 11th Street NW will be two-way from the alley to the Dirty Dog parking lot on 11th. The alley will be one-way westbound from 10th Street to 11th Street.

NEW PROJECTS STARTING

On or shortly after July 23rd, construction will begin on the railroad crossing upgrade at 5th Avenue NW and the road and railroad crossing reconstruction on 20th Street NW.  These two streets will be closed at the railroad crossings until these projects are completed.
