Due to the weather, the Bremer Avenue Reconstruction Project will begin Thursday, March 29th with traffic controls being set up with construction set to begin on Friday. The canopy in the 200 block will be removed starting Monday, April 2nd. During these stages Highway 3 through traffic will have only one lane in each direction. There will be no turns on or off of Bremer from 2nd Street East through 7th Street East. {Local traffic should turn North or South at 1st Street East to access downtown businesses and other areas from1st Avenue NE and 1 Avenue SE. } City public parking lots are marked on both the North and South sides of downtown and most merchants have back entrances. Every effort will be made to leave at least 4 feet of sidewalk in front of businesses on Bremer Avenue for pedestrians. There will be no parking on either side of Bremer from 1 Street East to 8 Street East.
