A car crash in Bremer County Sunday night sent six people to the hospital. A 2014 Dodge Journey driven by 40 year old Abdelrahman Eshad was traveling south on V56 and, according to the Iowa State Patrol, failed to yield the right of way to a 1987 Ford Bronco driven by 39 year old Matthew Chase of Fairbank on Highway 3. Eshad, 42 year old Mobark Khamis, and 39 year old Eltayeb Adam, all of Cedar Rapids, were taken by ambulance to Community Memorial Hospital in Sumner. 36 year old Amber West of Fairbank was also taken to Community Memorial Hospital along with a 13 year old from Fairbank. A 14 year old from Fairbank was airlifted to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. The crash remains under investigation at this time.
