Bremer County has announced the availability of grant funding to support initiatives addressing the opioid crisis for fiscal years 2026 and 2027. A maximum of $100,000 will be allocated each year to support programs that aim to prevent, treat, and mitigate the effects of opioid use in the county. The Bremer County Opioid Settlement Funds Grant Program will award grants to qualified applicants. For the initial application years, grant funding will be prioritized to entities looking to address core strategy areas of Medication-Assisted Treatment Distribution and Other Opioid-Related Treatment, Expansion of Warm Hand-off Programs and Recovery Services, Naloxone or Other FDA-Approved Drugs to Reverse Overdoses, or Prevention Programs. Applications will open on April 1, 2025 with submissions due by 4:30 p.m. on May 30th. Those interested should visit the Bremer County website for detailed guidelines and application instructions.
