The Bremer County Sheriff’s Office has announced a promotion within the force. Deputy Sean Hartman has been promoted to Sergeant. Hartman started his career with the Denver Police Department in 1999, serving as Police Chief from 2002 to 2004. In 2004 he was hired as a third shift Deputy Sheriff. During his 18 years with the Bremer County Sheriff’s Office he has been awarded the Sullivan Brother’s Award, Bremer County Peace Officer of the year, and the Commissioner’s Award for Excellence in Traffic Safety. With the promotion, Hartman will be responsible for supervising, leading, and training all assigned work to the deputies and assisting dispatch and the jail with administrative duties when needed.
