Work on the Bremer Avenue Bridge has been occurring out of sight but will soon be visible to the public. Test shafts were drilled to find out how deep each of the 32 drilled shafts that will support the piers need to be. That analysis will finish this week and people will begin to see and hear work on site the week of December 9th.
Iowa Department of Transportation field service coordinator Pete Hjelmstad shares will be happen beginning next week.
Each of the drilled shafts will be 40 to 60 feet deep.
