Both the Cedar Falls Police and the UNI Police Department were called to an alleged armed robbery late Saturday night. The victim told police that a man wielding a small handgun accosted her, took her purse, and fled the scene. The university sent out an email informing students and staff that the incident happened at 20th and Olive around 11:00 Saturday night. The suspect is described as a white male with blonde hair and at the time of the crime was wearing a brown trench coat. The case remains under investigation.
