Cable services through Waverly Utilities will end Thursday, October 1st. This was originally announced almost a year ago with the company saying that they were unable to provide the same quality of TV programming as customers previously enjoyed. They said they were unable to be as flexible as the streaming services available and at the same time the cost for Waverly Utilities cable TV continued to increase due to rising content fees and complex agreements with network owners. Waverly Utilities says they will continue to offer internet and telephone services
