AFSCME Local 3576 announces it will donate a security camera for the Freedom Rock in Cedar Falls.
The Freedom Rock was recently vandalized, but the camera donation was in the works before the act of vandalism. The Cedar Falls Police Department will oversee all footage on the camera.
AFSCME says they are donating the camera as a thank you to veterans and current members of the Armed Forces, and they hope the it will help decrease vandalism on the rock.
AFSCME Local 3576 represents the employees of Cedar Falls Municipal Utilities
