The historic core of the Wartburg College campus has been added to the National Register of Historic Places. The 25 acre plot includes 17 buildings and is anchored by Players Theatre and the Science Center and extends north through campus, excluding the W and Walston-Hoover Stadium. The Manors are included but Knights Village is not. The district runs from the Ubuntu Center back up to Players Theatre. Old Main has been on the registry since 1978. This designation does not place any explicit limits of future campus changes.
