Candidates for school boards at New Hampton and Turkey Valley will not be listed on the ballot in November because a secretary missed her deadline to turn in nomination forms. Christy Roethler is the School Board secretary for both school districts. She had until noon on September 19th to turn in the nomination forms but failed to do so. In New Hampton Tim Denner, Adam Schwickerath, and Ryan Shawver all met their deadlines to get their paperwork in and in Turkey Valley Don Blazek Jr., and Kate Stika met their deadlines. Kayla Smith actually filed her nomination papers at the Chickasaw County Auditor’s Office but needed to do so with the New Hampton School Board secretary. However, both races will be decided completely by write-in vote. No names will appear on the ballot.
