A Waterloo man has been arrested after being witnessed going through cars at a dealership, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Black Hawk County deputies noticed 50 year old Jason Hocking going in and out of vehicles in the lot of Reedy’s Auto Sales around 1:30 Tuesday morning. When deputies approached him, Hocking gave them a fake name and told them he had recently taken over the business and the vehicles belonged to him. The actual owner of the lot was contacted and he confirmed that was not true and that he did not know Hocking. Hocking has been charged with four counts of third degree Burglary to a Vehicle and Providing False Identification Information. He recently was released from probation after being convicted of second degree Theft after being found driving a Chrysler 300 stolen from Liberty Car Company 2 in Waterloo in August 2020.
