A Waverly woman is leaving behind something she hopes will make Wartburg women a little more successful. Cindy Carlson served as secretary to Wartburg College’s presidents until her death in October. Carlson was diagnosed with breast cancer and a chemically induced blood cancer that happened as a result of her chemotherapy.
But before she died, she had a wish to provide her wardrobe to students who are about to graduate getting ready for working world or going on job interviews.
So Carlson’s Closet opened earlier this week. It offers shoes, jewelry and clothing at no cost to female students in their senior year.
