Cat Saved from Burning House in CF

Firefighters in Cedar Falls saved a cat from a burning house Monday morning, according to Iowa’s News Now. Cedar Falls Public Safety was called to the 110 block of Cedar Crest Drive just before 3:00 a.m. The home was engulfed in flames when they arrived on scene. The family was able to get out of the house safely but they reported that they could not find their pet cat. Firefighters found the cat inside the home and brought it to safety. The house suffered major smoke, fire, and water damage. The Red Cross is assisting the family with shelter at this time. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
